I’ve been cautiously optimistic coming into this year and so far every game this year but with how hard this team plays and how much havoc they cause defensively I think tj has got Iowa state basketball back

I really don't care. We're watchable in year one of a new coach. That's enough to satisfy me for the season. Anything after that is just an added extra.
We haven’t lost to Florida A&M or UW Milwaukee at home yet so I’m VERY happy.

Just posted in the game thread, but Memphis was the perfect indisciplined team for this defense to exploit. I want to see it against a veteran team before I go all in. Barring inury, this team looks like a NCAA team. But if this can translate into an every night thing, we could compete for the conference title. No one else has impressed me much.

I'm ecstatic that I'll have something entertaining to watch all winter.
It's clear that we're better than we thought we were.
It's not clear if we're sustainably that good, or if we're on a something of a magic carpet ride right now and perhaps come back down to earth somewhat at some point in the future.
But who cares? It's fun to watch, there's palpable buzz around the program, and at least for the moment we've captured the college basketball world's attention.

I was all about pumping the brakes, but I'm finding it hard to pump the brakes at this point.
Good D, effort and fundamentals are sustainable. Not sure we are a tourney team yet, but this team will be fun to watch all season. In many ways I am enjoying them more than some of the better Prohm and Hoiberg teams.
I’m all in on this team. My expectations are still low and I’m just going to enjoy it but I’m thinking this may very well be a tourney team.
First, these guys aren't as limited offensively as we were maybe led to believe, and the defense and effort they put on the floor will travel wherever they go.

I feel like I skipped a season of Iowa state basketball and really missed the excitement from watching them. The heart probably could use that year off anyways. Especially with football now being good
