Woof.

Looks like a difficult schedule but how would you like to be Arkansas?

That's nasty. Holy crap that might be one of the worst schedules I have seen in my 46 years on earth. I mean I would guess Missouri is the easiest school on that list.

But...but...but Iowa is a football school. How can this possibly be??

Yikes! They only have three unranked teams on the schedule, and two of those three are on the road. Plus, once they start adjusting the polls for the spring JV teams, they could end up playing another ranked team.

I was listening to the Arkansas coach on ESPN Saturday. 2 non-conference games were replaced with Georgia and Florida.

It seems very weird to even have rankings this fall with so many teams not playing. A team can win the “national title“ and it really won’t mean anything.

Huh? Ohio State is the only team of “so many teams not playing” That might have made the playoffs.

Honestly I’m OK with it, you know if Iowa State wins the Big12 in a normal year we are left out of the playoffs. We have a SHOT this year. Obviously Oklahoma is the favorite, and Texas might finally be back in contention, but we are in the conversation.

If Iowa State won the Big 12 and ended the season with one loss or less they're in the playoffs

Zero losses? Absolutely. One loss? Better hope at least one of the other four P5 conference champions have more than one loss, especially if those champions are of a higher profile historically than ISU.

I assume he was talking about this year. There are only three P5 conferences playing, not four. And if the SEC actually plays out their 10 game conference only schedule, might finally see their top teams take 2 losses.

But I agree with the sentiment that if there is a way to screw us, mark it down.
