Mil Muertes, in my opinion, might be the best gimmick in the history of pro wrestling. He is, at this point, in his creepy skull throne, ruling over his Temple, cooler than the Undertaker ever was.
I mean, look at this guy...

Thinking of the level of brutality from the Grave Consequences match makes me excited to think what kind of match him and Pentagon Jr. may have.
I really wonder how they will be incorporating Mysterio in the story line. Seeking revenge against Jade and Dario Cueto for what they did to Dragon Azteca? When does Matanza join in on the action? When will Vampiro suffer his next breakdown? There are a ton of great possible story lines this season.
I loved Mysterio on WCW, but never liked him on WWE. Hopefully they do right by him with a good story line. Does he have enough in the tank to compete inside the ring with some of the guys on LU. He's got a ton of mileage on him.I'm cautiously optimistic about Mysterio. I mean, LU managed to make me give a crap about John Morrison and Alberto Del Rio... so... maybe they'll shake me of my complete Mysterio dislike.

As long as they don't bring back Big Ryck, Tejano, Hernandez, Blue Demon, or Chavo Guerrero for this season, I will be happy. I thought those guys brought the show down last season.
Agree with you on all points. Chavo is a good wrestler when he wrestles and a good actor for all the backstage stuff. He just doesn't wrestle enough. I also think he's not as athletic since he got bigger. He used to be a great athlete at lower weight with a lot of top rope moves. At this point, I would just like to see him as a manager for another wrestler on the show, as I think he would be great at it.Big Ryck was all but replaced with Cage for what he brings, and his story just sorta disappeared. Agree there, we don't really need him unless they give him something else to do.
Tejano is an excellent wrestler, but his storylines suffered when Chavo got injured and he had to pick up the slack. Agree, I can do without him.
Hernandez is gone, and I hated him.
Blue Demon was a legacy. I was glad he got to go out with a big payday. Don't need much of him back.
Chavo I like. I think he's probably the second best rudo on the card. But I see why people don't like him.
As for Mysterio? He hasn't been the same guy since WCW. I loved him with the cruiser weights in WCW, but he's too injury prone and too prone to injuring others now. I mean, he did kill a guy like... less than a year ago.

Wow, did not realize he was that old.he's also 45. I think that might have something to do with the lost step![]()

I was really glad to see Killshot and The Mack back in action tonight. Killshot bulked up a little bit but nothing like Cage, who came out looking like freaking Zangief out there. Mundo was good as usual. PJ Black (Justin Gabriel) had a nice debut.Killshot must be an Iowa State fan. That pop up nut shot looked painful
What did you think of Kobra Moon? I have to say I enjoyed her fighting style and think she is a fine addition to the female roster. Too bad she had to fight a ***** (literally). Those headbutts from Bengala made me cringe. I know this is taped ahead of time but I really wish people wouldn't use their heads as weapons anymore after what happened to Daniel Bryan.
I thought Kobra was alright. I've seen better debuts but those also weren't against Bengala. I'll withhold judgement until she gets a few more matches under her belt. What did you think of Kobra Moon? The Jack Evans-Drago fight was entertaining and the Fenix-King Cuerno fight was everything I expected it to be. However, for me the highlight of the night was the revelation of Cortez Castro's real identity and whatever the hell is going on with Aerostar. The vignettes this year have been taken to another level and the stories are getting loads more interesting this season. You can tell the writers of this show have become more ambitious and I'm loving it!
Oh, also forgot about Tejano coming back next week. Not sure how I feel about that. I never found him to be that exciting of a wrestler and more of a traditional wrestler you would find on WWE/WCW. For some reason, he never seems to fit with the rest of the roster and their wrestling styles. It also doesn't help that they gave him a ****** story line last season. Maybe they'll give him a better story this season.
I did see Kobra not connect on some moves very cleanly, but it might just be first match jitters. We'll see how well she does against one of the better fighters or against Sexy Star or Ivelysse. Yeah, I saw Evans "The Dragonslayer" running his mouth and even giving some commentary on the Fenix/Cuerno match on Twitter. I do like Jack Evans and he really knows how to make the crowd turn against him.I thought Kobra was alright. I've seen better debuts but those also weren't against Bengala. Jack Evans is an amazing heel. He was going crazy on Twitter after the match about beating Drago. He didn't do too much last season but I've heard a lot about his work in other promotions as a heel, so I really hope that translates well into LU.
I love that Castro is an undercover cop. It just makes so much sense. I really like the guy who they brought in to be his partner. His name is Joey Ryan and once flipped a dude with his ***** in the middle of the ring(Not joking, video is all over Youtube if you haven't seen it.). I would guess he isn't going to do that here though. Those two should be a lot of fun in the Temple. I'm not sure what was going on with Aerostar because my stream wasn't working when his stuff was on. My guess is that it will probably be pretty good though.
I'm not huge on Texano either. I thought he was pretty boring last season, but he also didn't have an LU crafted story until Ultima Lucha, which was against Blue Demon Jr . Time will tell with him I guess. If this season turns out to be hte same for him as last year I doubt he's sticking around for season 3.
Also, it appears Lucha Underground is releasing online comic books. I'm not sure if they matter much to the story, but this week's explains what happened to Big Ryck. Here's the link if you want to see. I haven't figured out how to make the tiny print any bigger yet.

Can't wait to see officer Reyes and officer Ryan in the Temple. By the way, were you surprised by Cuerno hitting that Arrow from Hell without his usual double running start and at such a hard angle? That was a thing of beauty.
I agree. The ending really gave neither fighter a clear cut victory, but just enough to leave the storyline open. I don't think they'll wrestle against each other for a few weeks. I'm thinking Cortez Castro, Tejano, and Joey Ryan will be in action next week. Wondering when we'll see Sexy Star and Marty the Moth next, as well as Dragon Azteca, Mysterio, and Aerostar. I need some tag team matches!I just found some of his tweet during the Cuerno-Fenix match. Hilarious. Evans vs. Drago is going to be great. Like you said, Evans is great at drawing boos from the crowd and I can't see anyone not cheering for a wrestling dragon.
I was Cuerno tried the move like that, although he probably would have died or ended up in the front row if he tried it his usual way. What did you think of the ending? I thought it was a good way to keep Cuerno looking good while keeping the feud alive.
