Yeah, a segment of hawk fans literally can't help themselves. They will belittle Cyclone fans any chance they get. They'll retain their superiority complex their entire lives. It was ingrained at a young age.

Just bought some at Grimes HyVee.... maybe 6-8 sixers left.
These will be available for purchase next week! Half of the proceeds goes to We Will!
Just got these at the North Fareway in Ames. They had some Ames left, but down to only a couple of the other two.
I am not a beer connoisseur by any means, but I like it. It's easy to drink and will work well for tailgating. My rank of the three ISU beers would be:
1. Ames Lager
2. CloneFest
3. Legend
SIAP... it is NOT at Benz. And I just picked the only 6pack of clonefest. Based on employee comments, I wouldn't expect them to carry either going forward.
Kids are asleep, should I even try to get some Ames Lager in West Des Moines, or is everywhere sold out?

Tasting notes:
My wife and I tasted the three beers. We both thought the Ames beer tasted fine and was a good substitute for Bud, Busch, Coors, etc. we both preferred CycloneFest to Ames. It was a little darker and smoother. My wife did not express a preference between CycloneFest and Legend, but I might have a slight preference for Legend, since I generally prefer ales.

Ames lager has a heavy bread/grain taste. Almost like cornflakes. There was some beer with Iowa in the name of which it reminds me. I didn’t care for that beer but the that taste in Ames Lager is not as prominent. I can see it growing on me and definitely crushable.

Nice. I haven't even seen the Legends beer. Or the CloneFest case. That ought to be framed!
Maybe my opinion of how I rank them is because I just don't drink domestic beers anymore but I thought the Ames Lager wasn't anything special and just tasted like a better version of Budweiser or Coors Banquet. My ranking:
1. Clone Fest
2. Trice Legacy
3. Ames Lager
I'm looking forward to the Trice Hazy IPA coming out in a month, if could see that making 1 or 2 on my list if they do it right.
