I think there's no real news that Fickell has signed anything. And why do you think Freeman wouldn't take the job?
I don't think it's a fake account, but he only has 93 followers. I wouldn't believe it.
This one has already been posted a few pages ago, but there's so many pages I don't blame you for missing it. But again, the posting account has only 94 followers, is unverified, and its pinned tweet is from 2020 stating the Kevin Durant had Covid and was in unstable condition. Freeman might end up being the guy, but I don't think this account has the scoop.

I think Freeman wants the real deal, not just the interim, and if other head jobs open up after ND waffles, maybe he bolts.

Again, I've only seen on tweet that has Fickell signing an extension. But I could have missed it.
Looks like he's got intense but calm confidence that carries to the players.
I've never seen him coach or anything but there haven't been any pics I've seen of him going Mike Stoops on someone.

Look, I know this is no time for common sense, but that’s not how this works. Coaches come and start work immediately, families pack and move later. Like, say, after the semester. It’s not like there isn’t an example of how this happened from like 5 years ago.
