Al Davis has passed away

The undead is finally dead. Must have been one of the zombies that I knocked off in Diablo II last night.

All kidding aside, The NFL lost a legend that really shouldn't be judged by the decisions of the last decade, because in the prime of his career the Raiders were a team to be feared. Sympathy to his family.

And yes, as someone said, as much of a loss as this is, the Raiders can finally get better now.

Utmost respect to the man. His impact on the NFL is huge from his days as the AFL commissioner to being the constant thorn in the NFL commissioners side. He was interesting guy, may he rest in peace.

Early news from the afterlife: Al Davis has just fired God - appointed himself as interim Almighty until a search is completed.

The game passed him by long ago, but he certainly had his time. I think his body gave up a long time ago but he willed himself alive somehow.

The most psychotic owner in sports; that is how I'll remember Al. His firing of Lane Kiffin was easily his low point, and the press conference afterwards was classic. "I know you didn't want to draft Jamarcus Russell, get over it, he is great player." That last part showed how far the game had passed him by.

He was prob one of the most important owners in the history of the NFL. The league wouldnt be what it is w/out him. As a Raiders fan I look forward to the future of my team.

Love him or hate him but he is a legend and icon in the annals of pro football and had one of the best one liners, "Just Win Baby" RIP AD
