Insufferable fans in the middle of a global pandemic.

Obviously the ISU job is on par with UNC or ku, we deserve the best. Don't let facts or the history of the program tell you otherwise.
Go to bed and find a new program to hate!

Imo, no, but let’s see how we do next year. The 10th team in the nation is last in the Top 10, by rank, but still very good!

How is value determined? If we finish near last in the Big 12, we could get that level results, for a lot less.

You don't get either side of the salary argument, but you are clearly on Team Overpaid.

I’d hope that was clear!

Prohm is absolutely overpaid. That’s more of a negative for JP than Prohm. I wouldn’t want a 12-20 coach anymore or less if they got 500k.

Most coaches are overpaid. Assistants are underpaid though! Continuity is leverage, but what continuity are you getting?

What about the "we were a huge national basketball powerhouse under Fred, well we were on our way, well the program was trending in the right direction" crowd. lol

The math on it isn't hard.

He takes over, we are #7 in the country.

5 years later? 20 loss season and a roster we can't seem to fill out.

I don't know an easier way to put it than that.

Agree; and an easier way to put it would be to call it the, "Prohm Fade"

We're either going to be better next year and people will be happy, or Prohm's fired and people will be happy. That's the situation we're now in. I for one wish we would've just not gone down this road and would've hired TJ from the beginning because it honestly feels like that's where we're going to end up after all of this anyway..

T.J. like his buddy Greg are not stupid. You don't want to be "that" guy who follows a legend. You think because he is a super nice guy married to an ISU legend that would have kept the vultures off his a** if he didn't live up to Fred? Oh, it may have bought him a little more time but no....you let guys like Wayne and Steve take the arrows. Then....you come in on your white horse and no matter what you do....it's fine. Because Wayne ruined it..or Steve ruined it. Then you coach for as many years as you like and everyone rolls out the "patience....trust.....integrity" BS like they did with Greg all the while forgetting we aren't even sniffing the tourney.....EVER! It's brilliant if you ask me.

I'm aware it's public knowledge. Posters bring up his salary like we're overpaying him. If he was top 3 in the conference then by all means bring it up. But he's at the bottom in salary.
So I guess we get what we pay for then.

The program was really quite good those years, especially compared to where it is now and where it was during the McDermott years.

But I’ve never heard anyone describe it as a national powerhouse - weak straw man.

Yes guys, it sure did suck to be dancing every year and be a back to back 3 seed. Being a legit top 15 program was pretty good in my book.

But hey, go ahead and crap on ISUs past successes to justify the current poor performance and your loyalty to one specific coach.

It’s almost like you don’t understand.

Loyalty to the program is exactly why some of us still hope they succeed.

you tried to pretend it wasn’t true, then people admitted that they would be mad if we won next year because it was prohm doing it.

I don’t expect a reasoned response from you. Just the ridiculous straw men you purport to hate.

Good Lord. Do you actually believe anyone that doesn’t believe Prohm is the right man for the job doesn’t want to se the ISU BB program succeed? You are really trying to equate a tiny minority of fans to the rest of the fanbase, so you can keep pushing this silly argument.

You’ve lost perspective.

Sure. That does not mean his replacement should not be evaluated based on his own performance. How is our program performing and where are we trending for the future?
