Wondered if any of you have heard of the Adaptive Open? It’s a golf tournament for individuals with various disabilities. It was at Woodmont CC in Rockville, MD this year. My son is the Director of Golf Courses and Grounds so I went out and volunteered for the 3 day event. Some incredible golfers! The winning score was -24 by a golfer with cerebral palsy. Shot a 61-64-65! If interested look it up on USGA.org.

I actually watched for a little bit over my lunch hour. Some amazing players out there.

Bumping this because thought it was interesting and missed it on the day it was posted.

Wow! Which tees did they use?

Chaz has been all over youtube golf recently. It looks like he finished 20th, 33 shots behind the winner. That tells me all I need to know about the golfers in this tournament because Chaz is a stick.

I was blown away by the ability of the golfers. I was in a group with a seated player (wheelchair) and he shot an 81. Couldn’t believe it. They were amazing and great people to converse with.

This is a photo of the group I was with on Day 1. Note there is a seated player, upper limb, and 2 lower limb (which you can’t see in the picture).
