Just going to take a wild guess here that COVID cases in Kossuth County are going to trend up for some reason in a week or two.
If it's 100% outdoors, then data disagrees. If they're going to be hanging out indoors, there's a good chance.

Bikers are known for their excellent hygiene. So should be good to go.

Do you hate the government forcing you to pay taxes for obese people who can't work? So should we make laws forcing people to eat healthy?
DO you hate the government for allowing people to go boating, because if they crash you have to pay for it long term?

Where does it stop?

I hate how people complain about their taxes going toward things like health insurance and care, how much our government pays for it, screaming about personal responsibility, etc. and then choose to behave in a way that is reckless enough to put themselves or others in a position to have to rely on others to foot the bill, when the ways to help avoid the problems are simple.

We put $300 billion/year toward heart disease care without batting an eye and then wonder where all the money is during a pandemic.

To the topic, if these people want to take part in human darwinism, let them. I just hope they are personally responsible enough to not be around vulnerable people after their rally. If they're still throwing out the 'I don't feel sick, so I won't get anyone else sick' mantra then they truly are an idiot, no question.

Sounds like there's a good split of people pissed off about it, as well as hoping for it, just like you'd expect. Either they'll get away with it find or they'll shut the county down in about 3 weeks... time will tell.

Wonder if Sturgis will take notes on this.

Those guys don't hate helmets. They hate having the government forcing them to wear them to protect themselves. Huge difference. I know a lot of my friends wear a helmet but don't want the government to force them to do it. I also totally agree with their right to splat their heads on the concrete if they wish.

Lets be honest, the helmets, at best, will probably save them from dying, but turn them into a vegetable. IMO, being dead is the better outcome.

Why do you care?

Nobody wears masks. But they are outside. Much of the time is spent riding. But pretty sure there is plenty of mingling going on. Lots of women running around naked. Covid19 could just be one of several outbreaks that could happen.

Oh?

I think thats always been the argument with motorcycles. Moving at highway speeds with no rigid framework to protect you is going to be almost 100% fatal in most collisions. Above 40 mph the death rates in cars due to accidents skyrocket, so on a bike I dont think there is much hope.

Live by Algona, lots of people leave Algona this weekend anyway or stay away from town activities. I think the concern is the traffic in and out of HyVee, Casey’s and the food and liquor stores. They are starting to roll into town.

Also medical personnel is concerned because of the increase hospital traffic over the 4th

Helmets just help to preserve dental records for body identification.
