Aaron White

Would love to have him, just a greasy ginger who is at the right place at the right time all the time.

If he rebounds like he did tonight, he'll get some real looks from the league. Teams will like his ft shooting and transition game.

He's a great player, and was a man amongst lesser men tonight, but I doubt he'll ever play in the NBA. He can definitely have a long career playing professionally, however.

Ryan Bowen played in the league for like 10 years. He has a shot. Needs to be more of a defensive player though to stick.

Yes, he has a shot. Just realized he's a junior, that sucks. It's vital for him to develop some skills in order to play in the league. His handle and shot are atrocious by NBA standards and that would be the biggest problem imo.

He can't dribble, can't shoot, and is not a great a defender. But the kid still scores the heck out of the ball. He is a great fit for their offense.

He's not really that talented... Just very quick for his size, sneaky, and a very heady player. Knows how to get positioning on opponents, find holes in the defense without the ball, and how to get open.

I'm a Cyclone fan through and through, but I would take that kid over your version of a talented kid every day. Why, because watching him tonight, he's a worker and he seems to find a way to get the job done. Don't sell him short, from what I saw, he was one of the best players on the floor tonight, weather he got it done from hustle or talent.

I'd say he is very talented. Maybe not the most skilled (ballhandling, post moves, shooting). but his instincts and athleticism are excellent. He just gets so many easy looks from running the floor and being in good position.

Probably one of the more deceptive players I've ever seen. He's not outstandingly athletic (not that fast with the ball and not a good dribbler) or a good shooter, but he knows how to get open and score the ball. Also a decent rebounder. With that being said, I think he'll have a big year this year in part due to the new fouling rules. He will basically be given more room and may even use his deceptiveness to beat a guy off the dribble sometimes to get to the hoop more often.

I think when all is said and done with, he'll put up great numbers for Iowa and have a good career overseas afterwards where those instincts of getting open and what not are really valued.

Aaron White is a great player! I will say it NBA level good!

Well, he could improve things but I don't think he's athletic enough for it. You usually have to be quick or pretty damn strong if you aren't fast, or just freakishly tall (like above 7'2"). I don't think he's either of those things. He's deceptively athletic from the standpoint that he doesn't appear to be athletic at all but is in the middle.

To be honest, I think his game is more in tune with the European style of things and not NBA anyway.

Really good player for sure. He just kills ISU. But, I think that what he lacks is consistency. He doesn't have much for post moves and is not a great outside shooter, so there are games where he disappears. For some reason, ISU has not figured out what to do to stop him. But it takes a heady player with some height to do that.

He was by far the best player on the floor tonight...

No doubt White had a good game, or rather, a career game for him.
Georges would probably disagree about Whitey being the best player on the floor in Hilton last night. He certainly wasn't far the better than Georges or Hogue.

A player built like him needs to have an excellent jump shot to be in the NBA. I don't watch much Iowa bball so maybe his jump shot is good, but every time I watch him he seems to get most of his points dunking the ball or at the free throw line.

He's a very good college player and I will be happy when we never have to play against him again

I thought Marble got more touches when White wasn't on floor and that they made a little run on us. May have been cause I think Hogue was on the bench then. Not sure if those two compete for the ball a little, don't watch Hoks enough to know if that is a problem for them. White benefits from best defender being on Marble for sure. His faces and attitude tick me off, and the flopping is beyond absurd, although he seemed to tame that down a little last night. He and all the other Hoks annoy me with their habit of whacking the ball somewhere after a made basket so they can set their press. One of them batted the ball about ten feet straight up into the air. Not sure why that isn't a T.
