Aaron cannot seem to live down the Jordan Love draft from a year ago. Part of me understands his frustration. But teams also have to prep for the future. Can argue they haven't acquired enough wr's but they have davonte adams - a future hof game guy and they have some quality guys like Lazard and others around the wr room.

I'm happy i'm not a packers fan what a mess. For him I think its kind of careful what you wish for. The broncos and raiders are no better organizations than green bay right now. Green Bay is close to a superbowl and it would make sense to finish out the career there.
No, Teams with a QB of that caliber need to win now. Prepping for the future when you are a playoff team? Packers f'd up big time last year.

Rodgers has carried that franchise.

The Packers are trying to help Rodgers out by giving him a defense. Something Tom Brady has had a major luxury with. Payton Manning got that in Denver. Packers had the #1 offense last season. Defense is what needed fixed. Too many ppl are fixated on thinking WR's are needed because the media says they are. Rodgers has had many Pro bowl receivers and only 1 SB to show for it because the defense was so bad.

Exactly. As a Bears fan I would kill to have the receivers Aaron Roger's has had through the years.

Favre got the Viqueens as close to a Super Bowl as you guys will ever see in your lifetime and he ran them into the ground? Funny stuff.

Chicago was in the Super Bowl in 06. Cutler got them to an NFC title game as well. Are you talking about the Bears? Cuz the Queens haven't been to a Super Bowl since the 70's.

If it comes down to Rodgers or Gutekunst, I say good riddance to Aaron. I get his frustrations about the packers wasting his career, but Gute arrived in Green Bay in 2018 and overall has done a pretty good job overall. I also don’t blame Gute for taking a QB last year as after 2019 it really looked like Rodgers was very average and his better years were behind him. If he can’t get over it, then goodbye.

I do agree with that sentiment as well....... however...... if Rodgers is gone, then GB is done for and will return to the glory days of Lynn Dickey and will become irrelevant again in the NFL.

But I like how GB is handling the situation so far. They have all the leverage. If Rodgers sits out, he owes GB like $25 million or something. GB doesn't have to do anything right now.

Hollywood has got in his head, swap him for Russell Wilson and take that problem on.

Of course there’s a cost to the Packers in that situation as well.

At no point has it looked like Rodgers was "very average" unless you're comparing Rodgers to the best version of himself. Also, Rodgers wasn't threatening to retire like Favre was right before the Pack drafted Rodgers. The Love selection made no sense at the time and looks even worse now.

I’m pretty sure for 30 million a year (when I’m only working 1/3 of that year) I could do what my bosses tell me too whether I agree or not!!

Fortunately, Rodgers lives and works in America and can do what he wants.
