A Purdy Good ‘21 Draft

I would be worried about Brock’s durability in the NFL if he went that high to a team that was obviously in a rebuild though this Steelers mock would be different with Ben and Mason Rudolph.

I don’t know how much anyone watched Kyler this year but that would be some film for Brock to watch on how to get down and be able to stay on the field.

Purdy is a very good college QB, but the NFL cares more about physical traits at QB than they do statistical production. Purdy is small and has poor arm strength for an NFL quarterback. That’s not going to change. There is zero chance that a QB with Purdy’s measurables and physical profile goes in the top ten, or even in the first round. That’s a good thing for Iowa State, as it means you should have at least two more years of winning a minimum of 7 or 8 games.
How do you figure??? People like Mitch trubiskey, cristian ponder, Brandon weeden, etc get drafted every day.

At best, he would be the #3 QB. I'd say Lawrence and Fields have the top 2 spots locked up already. And we gotta keep in mind that there are not going to be many teams that will need a starting QB next year. As of right now, I have Purdy going #28 to the Saints.

I can see Purdy being one of those guys who gets taken in the 3rd or 4th rounds. Sits a couple years, finally gets an opportunity, and plays well.

Like are all Iowa fans just born to be douche bags. you would think with all of their success and draft picks you would have won all those win National Championships and Big 10 championships.

Huh. I was glancing at 247’s early ‘21 Draft Preview, and was pleased to see that they had Brock as a potential choice.

Then I ran across the below. I know it’s way early and this is a hodge podge of guesswork, but at #10 overall he wouldn’t stick around for his senior year, folks.

How well did this author do with his "way too early" picks for the 2020 NFL draft? I'm amazed at how little assessment is done on their credibility even though the data is all out there to look at. If we take a look at his picks for last year, we should get a good idea of whether he is giving real picks or just going after click bait (which we love to bite).

Not the same author, but take a look at Bleacher Report's "way too early" picks for the 2020 draft, especially their #3 overall pick. If this doesn't destroy their credibility, nothing will.
