7 months . . .

That guy's on my Ignore List and I sometimes see what he has to say when he's quoted, but at least he signed his post.

IMO, name and city should be required here just as it is on all the Yahoo groups to which I subscribe. The publisher and writers here byline their work, why shouldn't subscribers here stand behind what they write with name and city?

That's insane. You're just looking for an argument with all that. Have fun with it.

I never look for arguments. Once in a while, though, one rudely bumps into me and I respond by writing what I think, as do so many others here.

Serious question: What's the big deal about anonymity? What is there to hide? Or fear?

I guess I'm done with this thread. My only intention in the op was to wonder at what this staff has accomplished in only a few months: two classes that far surpass in quality what any one of us could have imagined. But, friends here have made me pay for my sin.

I don't know about all this other crap. Must be a west of the Mississippi thing??? My comment to the original theme of the post is THE PLAN!

You rail against anonymity, yet, as you yourself posted, you know what you're in for when you come here.
Everyone knows it's open letter season here at Cyclone Fanatic. By creating this thread, you've engaged in a long-standing tradition. Yet, when you encountered the heartfelt adoration of your fellow CFers, manifested in derisive posts full of snark, you rejected our outpouring of love, choosing instead to respond with self-righteousness and hate.
I must ask you, why do you resent us? You claim to be one of us. How can you turn on us so quickly? We are all Cyclones here.

The one guy who might not have been surprised by the first seven months. ;-)

And what a plan it is!

Love the optimism.
Love what I've seen so far.
Saving love and kisses until games are actually coached.
But still - love the optimism.

Semi - anonymous on the internet
But if you come to Clarence and ask about 2 people who here is a Cyclone fan and also lives half the year in Jensen Beach Florida, you'll narrow the list pretty fast.
Beers - yes please. Murder - no please.

I try not to say things online that I wouldn't say to someone's face. My name is Jack Hardy, and my current city is conveniently mentioned to the left in my profile. However, if you want to come down to drink beers, or murder me, you're going to have to make it quick, because we move to Kansas City in 5 days.
Wow, what an upgrade on cities, lucky you.

It is going to be a LONG Summer if the feelings are hurt already. Brian - we use anonymity not as a shield but as a defense against the crazies who lurk on these sites. They exist and it is foolish to believe otherwise - I have relatives who are not Clones. They do not need the backlash that erupts when the Clones kick hok A** or lose to crap teams ( thanks CPR et al). My employers would not find some of my posts becoming of a manager - so the anonymous moniker will stay! Congrats to Brian Chapman, Jack Hardy or SSG Hulka ( I salute you as a fellow veteran). GO CLONES!

I vote for anonymity. We already have tons of social engineering going on in this ridiculous world, why can't we have some privacy for once? I left espn because they required a FB log in. No thanks I have Google already data mining my face off.
