5 guys Burgers

All this talk of burgers has me thinking I'm watching a Sooners game with a billion Whataburger commercials.

Its not bad, but way too expensive. I would much rather eat somewhere else where I could get a burger just as good for far cheaper.

Think the OP needs to get out more. If you go to a restaurant and a steak is only a couple dollars more than a 5 guys burger, you probably aren't eating steak.

Also, 5 guys is much cheaper than most new style "Burger Bar" concepts.

What is a bebop?

Demoncore, BE-Bops is a central Ia. hamburger chain, most of them are just a drive thru with some outside seating, I know at least one in Des Moines has interior seating. Good burgers at a reasonable price. Priced about like McDonalds but way better burgers. The one in Ames is on Duff probably a mile So. of Lincoln Way(just guessing on the distance)

So when did they rebrand Michelob Ultra?

Never been to 5 Guys. For that money, kind of cheese do you get on that burger?

I really like guys. It is not cheep, but it is no more expensive than Wendy's.

No. Because my wife doesn't have a gallbladder, if she eats anything too fatty or greasy her stomach has a full scale riot and she's sick for days. It's not discrimination, it's self preservation.

I also do not have a gallbladder but I just power through.

I had my gallbladder removed and now I can handle greasy stuff again. Probably not a great thing, but before the gallbladder removal the stones just killed me.

How many of you just get a plain burger with cheese and ketchup? The greatness of 5 Guys is in the toppings - bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms, jalapenos, lettuce, mayo, tomatoes, ketchup and mustard. And none of that stuff costs extra, like it would be at many other burger joints. I can make a great hamburger patty at home for way less than B-Bops if you're really concerned about the price.

All of you guys eating all these $30+ steaks, why don't you just go to 5 guys and use your saved money as bag men?

I ate at 5 guys yesterday for the first time. After reading this I was expecting a terrible burger, disgusting fries and a $20 bill. None of the above. The burger patty itself was definitely better than most fast food but the awesomeness is the selection of 'free' toppings. Grilled mushrooms? Hell yeah. And I thought the fries were very good although a bit too salty for me. The bill was about where I would expect a 'gourmet' burger and a boat load of fries. The drink was definitely over priced and I didn't like their ketchup. Overall: B+

Maybe the location makes the difference. I was in Rochester and I think it's a fairly new one.

Don't know about the cheese...probably costs extra.;)

Nope thats the great thing about 5 guys you can pile many different topping on for no extra charge.

For example my Friday lunch is:

1 - Cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, onions, ketchup, mustard and A1
and
1 - Little Cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, onions, ketchup, mustard and A1

mmmm I can't wait for lunch
