I think I'm done talking about this. When this thread was started, there was NO info available on CR's front page or any free info relating to who this was. If people want to screw with the system, go for it, but is it really worth it when it takes maybe a day to find out about this stuff anyways?

I agree with everyone that it is wrong to steal info from another site. Nobody here has ever promoted that - however, it is blatantly wrong to accuse Jeremy of doing that. Jeremy and one of the other site owners ban each other from each other's sites, so that's (a) impossible; and (b) insulting.

That being said - Paul is running a business as his (presumably) sole livelihood over there, and nobody should take away from that. There really is no reason for ANY competition between the goers of the two sites - the only ones who would even have any reason for competition/hatred are the owners.

I agree with you and if you truly believe in what you posted, you should delete this thread now.

Then it is obvious the info was inappropriately lifted from Cyclone Report Premuim site and this thread should be deleted now. As a moderator here you should take care of this and ban the person posting the so called hints.

No, it is not a jump to conclusions. Cyclone Report broke the story and shortly thereafter, a certain poster here starts posting hints that could be found nowhere but CR. It is quite obvious where the information came from and the legit source is Cyclone Report.

Ed - I agree with you on this. I really do. But in the past, when we delete a thread like this, one existing thread such as this one balloons into 8 threads, three of which are people continuing to leak the info, and 5 others are about how it used to be so much better here in the old days when nobody deleted threads. Trust me, that one little bit of moderation explodes into an all out locking and deleting fest. The cats out of the bag now anyway, it's too late to stop it.

Not mad at all. Just think its funny that you guys spend time speculating on what is behind curtain #1 when for just a few bucks a month you could find out.

Furthermore I think it is funny that a couple of the posters were lamenting the fact that Jeremy wasn't here to get it for them. This is a parttime gig for him, the site not to be named is someone's full-time job. That is a big difference.

For what it is worth, I think a total free site like this has merit, particularly as a forum for discussion. I particularly liked the intramural thread. Got me thinking about the good old days.

Recruiting news, what with NCAA regulations and all is another matter. And stealing premium content from another site is just wrong.

Some of us need those few bucks to do things like eat or pay for books, or the most popular choice...beer.

It probably came from CR, I don't know because I do not visit that site. But I have a question. If the info on the other site came from a source inside the athletic department is that also illegal to post?

Sorry guys for missing the show, I just got home and have not been near a computer for a couple of hours.

Bass is the recent recommit and that comes from somebody close to the situation, not anywhere else.

As far as where the info came from that started this thread; I have asked in the past that all premium information from other sites stay on other sites. There aren't legal reasons for this but rather courtesy reasons. I don't have a membership at said site but I also respect the wishes of the sites agreement with it's members. It doesn't hurt or help me or this site to have outside info posted but I personally respect the wishes of other people, even if they don't always show the same restraint in return.

While I agree with those that say it's the internet and it's just like any other medium where info is freely exchanged, I also ask that you find other sources for information simply out of respect for what other people may use as their money-maker.

I'm not going to delete the thread now that things are very evident and freely posted numerous places but I do ask that people respect the agreements they have on all sites and with all parties as nobody wants to create a bad environment anywhere. Nobody can independently verify everything said or typed by everybody in every medium but that doesn't mean that we all shouldn't do our best to be honest and courteous to others and their products/services.

If you have something to share or post, please do. Just make sure you follow your own moral agreements and judgements.

I can tell you for certain, CR was not my only source. I also was able to verify it with someone in Ames who was not using CR as his source - within 30 minutes of the info being on CR.

Plus, it was announced on KXNO today, etc.

Paul Clark, Chris Williams, Jeremy - etc - are not the only individuals that know good sourced at ISU.

You certainly never had a source when you were on CR or CN.
