If the price is X then just sell it for X. If it doesn't hurt the consumer (and thus benefit the store) they wouldn't do it.

I'm not sure I agree with this wording. I think it does benefit the store, but I think that hurt is the wrong word. Should stores not be allowed to charge $5.99 instead of $6.00 because it could possibly sway a consumer?

The key to any purchase, especially a major purchase, is research. With the internet it is too easy to compare prices and review products not to. You can stand in the aisle with your phone and see if something is a good price.

Now this should be illegal.

I don't necessarily disagree but they do not have published prices because their prices are based on a combination of an hourly rate and a rate for certain services. So it would be hard to prove.

This is not "hurting" you as a consumer. You aren't forced to buy anything you don't want to buy or at a price that isn't made clear. This is just your preference as a consumer.

I don't believe they have an expiration, & if they do it's way longer than 2 weeks. I've held on to those things for a long time.
You're right, I just got one in the mail today and the isn't an expiration.

I don't have a big issue with Macy's and all of their stupid sales stuff cause I use them for most of my clothes purchases. Clearance rack, plus promo coupon percentages off or more for using their card and you can pick up some stuff a some very steep discounts. I figure a regular sale price is sort fair retail and other discounts offered actually equate to a real sale price.

So you must wear a size XS shirt and wear 46W-30L jeans because that's all I ever find on that rack.

The wife is finally getting used to me doing this when shopping for practically anything. Target has price-matched Amazon via my phone twice in the last couple weeks. Pretty much free money, be stupid not to!

I'm ok with them bringing some of these sleazy sale tactics to light. That said, I can't be the only one here who pays zero attention to it and simply focuses on what the actual sale price is at the time. If I consider it fair, I buy it, if not then I don't regardless of how much they claim it's discounted.

i agree consumers should be informed. but i also agree that there should be laws against deceptive practices.

we have enough laws. buyer beware.........this day n age with social media - crooks will get called out and bad public image is worse than some law

You can fill out your rebate entirely on line so you don't have to worry about a lost rebate form. You also save the postage...

What? Does it say that somewhere on the form? Can you print off the voucher too so there there's no chance of that getting lost in the mail?
