*** 2026 PGA Tour Thread ***

Pretty stiff penalties, but I'm willing to bet Brooks is still ahead on the whole deal. I love the way the PGA tour structured this re-entry program. We will take your top 4 players back, but you can keep all those other bums on your dumpy little tour.
I guess the way I see the penalties, this program wasn't even around when he was playing, so he's simply not getting the extra benefit from the new program for an extended period of time, which seems fair.

Also, I'm seeing rumors that Bryson might jump back and that his contract with LIV is up this year. I think these guys saw the dollar signs and jumped, but didn't fully anticipate how the LIV format and lower level of competition would affect their competitive edge. Not to mention the international travel and stuff like that.

They only have until February 2nd for this season. I'd imagine they will have similar options next year, but it'll be interesting to see if Rahm and Bryson chance it.

They’ve worded the returning player thing in such way that it hangs guys like DJ, Phil, and Patrick Reed out to dry.

I'm surprised the LIV hasn't merged (or folded) as Rahm, Bryson and Brooks mentioned several times.
Too much money to fold. SA is all in on sports as part of their whitewashing campaign.

What a joke that tournament is.

It rotates around three courses the first three days. The Nicklaus and La Quinta CC courses are fairly easy but the Pete Dye stadium course is no joke especially after they renovated last year. I played it after the renovation and it was brutal.

Good thing Blades Brown is 18.

Announcers mentioned this is 6 straight days of competitive golf. He played Korn Ferry event in Bahamas that ran Sun-Wed and flew to Palm Springs to tee up Thursday!

Brown has a shot at a 59 if he birdies his 18th hole. Just launched a drive onto the fairway so will have a short club in for his 2nd shot.
