Are you thinking of ASU’s massive write off?
I saw this on a Facebook Big 12 discussion post, I think it amplifies what was in the newspaper regarding the UofA ADInteresting events occurring at the UofA now that Tommy Lloyd has signed his contract extension rejecting overtures from UNC.
As reported Sunday in the Arizona Daily Star, the new contract gives Lloyd more control over the financial support for his roster budget. UofA's president, Suresh Garimella will now have a more direct role in working with Lloyd on his program's finances.
This all sounded very similar to the comments made following TJ's revised contract.
Lloyd also said he wants his program to be a locomotive with everyone at the school pushing in the same direction.
In Monday's paper, it was revealed that Tommy Lloyd will report directly to UofA's president, rather than Athletic Director Desiree Reed-Francois. Obviously Lloyd and the AD did not see eye to eye. This also sounds similar to reported conflicts between TJ and Campbell vs. Pollard.
Arizona's AD has been on the job for two years, she inherited a $75M debt from the previous AD and by all accounts has eliminated it. She has been good at developing new sources of income for the athletic department, but now she may be on thin ice.
For a woman 20 years his juniorSo we raised money for his wife with cancer right?

To me its wild that Malone must have been that down on NBA HC opportunities.Paying a guy who has never been a head coach in college $500,000 less than Bill Self is nuts. But I totally get why Malone wouldn't have accepted for much less
