MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

Hot April for a number of teams. Seven teams are .600 or better. May one will be .600 come October. None were last with Brewers missing by one win to finish .599.

Some really bad teams this year and the NL is dominating interleague play at the moment. Multiple fired managers before the end of April feels abnormal.

In my team's division...but I like Skubal so I feel bad for him! That said...the Tigers should have manned up and traded him this past off-season! NO way they were signing him to an extension...he was walking at the end of the season no matter what and what might this season bring? 1st round exit? I love seeing teams like the Tigers win it all...as hard as it would have been to deal him this past winter...they should have!

Situations like this is why it scares me to give huge contracts to free agent starting pitchers. Seems like arm injuries are not an if but when.

Really hope Skubal's problem is just a clean-up vs. precursor.
ESPN article says these procedures are usually 2 to 3 months recovery...and then you know he will be on a pitch-limit I would think...sucks for Tigers fans!

The Dodgers will be glad he's ready to go next season after they sign him. This sucks for Detroit.

Yanks are starting their annual swoon down to wildcard status after a hot April of starting pitching overachieving.

And the injury gods took notice that they were healthy and are moving to rectify that. LOL.

One of these years, they'll stop trying to bargain-bin 2/3rds of the pitching staff and realize they keep getting bargain-bin results from doing so. Bullpen is currently nonexistent and we don't have a closer at the moment.

...again.
