MLB: ***2026 MLB Season Thread***

Willson Contreras is still a whiny *****. Pretends to get hit by a pitch, then wants to start something. Then slides hard into second with his cleats up and tries to take out our player. Then after the game says if he gets hit again, he'll take somebody out. Bring it ************.

He's a hothead for sure but the Brewers have hit him like 24 times and believe last night's pitcher has done it 6 times alone.

True but he does crowd the plate and I think the metrics say to pitch him inside and we probably do that more than any other team given the amount of HBP, but the one last night didn't touch him. Doesn't excuse the dirty slide either.
 
Guardians pitcher Parker Messick has a no-hitter going thru 8 innings vs. the Orioles. Has thrown 106 pitches.
 
Max Fried and Cam Schlittler both went 8 innings for the Yanks in back-to-back nights in Fenway. An oddity today when pitchers going 6 innings is considered great and it seemingly takes 4 or 5 relievers to finish most games.
