If you think it will be used on payroll, I have a bridge for sale.A pretty important question is how the influx of funds will be spent. Will it increase payroll or simply reduce debt?

Lowest ticket sales this year in the 16 years of Target Field. Pretty sure that's already the sentiment. If i'm a diehard with season tickets, i'm not renewing until they're gone. I have a feeling that will be the sentiment moving forward.

Given the opinion of the Pohlads, I agree, but think about it from the new investor's POV. If I'm putting up $500M (or whatever), I think I'd be pretty insistent on seeing it go towards improving the team I'm now a part owner of and not just enriching the majority owner. If you think it will be used on payroll, I have a bridge for sale.
They promise one thing and deliver another. And if I'm a minority owner, I don't really have say.Given the opinion of the Pohlads, I agree, but think about it from the new investor's POV. Per Joe Pohlad interview in StarTribune, deal does not include plans/pathway to expand ownership % or become future majority owners. If the “significant partners” end up becoming majority owners in the future, then this might not be a bad thing. I doubt it, though.
Same interview Joe Pohlad says they will pay down debt as a result of partial sale. And (stifles laughter) debt didn't hinder sale process.A pretty important question is how the influx of funds will be spent. Will it increase payroll or simply reduce debt?
It’s amazing to me how many times the Twins fail to score the ghost runner. I guess that’s what you get when your organizational approach is slow guys who swing for the fences.Twins being the Twins!
3-0 lead early and Ober gives it up quick.
Then offense goes home early. Bad loss.
I think we had Buxton on 2nd one of the extra innings and couldn’t score him. It’s amazing to me how many times the Twins fail to score the ghost runner. I guess that’s what you get when your organizational approach is slow guys who swing for the fences.
The Twins couldn't score with a bag of cash at a brothel.I think we had Buxton on 2nd one of the extra innings and couldn’t score him.![]()
From what I've seen so far from Tait (likely because he's young) he's got some Pedro Surano in him. He can kill the ball but needs better approaches to off speed.Nothing earth shaking, but I attended a Kernels game on Saturday and got to see both Dasan Hill, a 19yo flame thrower and recently traded Edwardo Tait.
Tait is built. He's listed as 6' 175lb, but that seems inaccurately low. He's very much a pull hitter right now, and annihilated a ball, sending it down the right field line for a HR. The next at bat against a fresh reliever, he looked foolish, catching air on three straight pitches. Nothing stood out defensively. He's still only 18yo, so I'm guessing he'll stick with CR into next season.
Dasan hit 98mph a few times early in the game. He pairs it with a nasty 80+mph curveball. Accuracy is his enemy currently and the River Bandits knocked him around for 4 runs in 3 innings. He is 19yo; I'm curious how aggressively they will move him up. He only pitched about 50 innings at low A, so I'm hoping he sticks around atleast part of next season in CR, so I can watch him progress.
Looking forward to seeing them make progress, join the big leagues, have a season of success where the team makes it to the division series, then having the Pohlad's trade them the next season to slash payrollNothing earth shaking, but I attended a Kernels game on Saturday and got to see both Dasan Hill, a 19yo flame thrower and recently traded Edwardo Tait.
