MLB: ***2026 Minnesota Twins***

From what I've seen so far from Tait (likely because he's young) he's got some Pedro Surano in him. He can kill the ball but needs better approaches to off speed.
I think this is mostly likely the case. The HR hit was off the starter who had already been knocked around for like 6 runs that point. The reliever made him look bad. Not unexpected for an 18yo kid.

I didn't mention them earlier, but the Kernels have a few other interesting prospects that I'm curious to see how they play out.

Billy Amick - Their 2nd rounder leaves me puzzled, why he was picked so high. He plays 1B/3B, but I don't see him sticking at Third. He been injured a couple times, so maybe that's the cause, but he doesn't seem to project a lot of power. Light hitting first baseman are plenty available, so I'm not sure why he was picked in the 2nd.

Danny De Andrade - An intl pick. He's 21yo, and he's been in the system since 2021. Unless they don't trust him, I'm a little surprised his isn't at Wichita by now. Plays 2B/SS/3B, and plays avg to above avg 2B/3B. Decent power, but probably won't hit for average much.

Kyle DeBarge - The other 2024 1st round pick, who was elevated to CR back in March. Mostly 2B/SS, though he's played CF a few times. Solidly average, and probably needs to improve his .375 slugging, but he's pretty good defensively and has some wheels on him. I think the Twins need a few more guys like this. Good speed, can hit .250+ with at least some pop and aren't an embarrassment defensively.

Looking forward to seeing them make progress, join the big leagues, have a season of success where the team makes it to the division series, then having the Pohlad's trade them the next season to slash payroll

Rinse and repeat
The Oakland As formula

What is wrong with baseball/the Twins.
Bottom of the 8th runners on 1st and 2nd and nobody out and .225 hitter Royce Lewis up and we don’t even attempt a bunt.
Twins didn’t even advance either, 2 fly outs and a groundout to 2nd.

It’s odd there has been no announcement on who these minority investors are.
Still holding out hope that there will be ‘surprise’ sale this winter and we can look forward to some FA pitching and a real 1B.

If the Pohlads are around, expect disappointment.

I think the other 29 owners, or maybe the MLB itself needs to approve them. I’m sure an audit or something is going on. That’s my one in a million longshot. Maybe they don’t get approved and the Pohlads decide to sell. One can hope.

After tonight we’ve lost 4 of our last 5 to the White Sox. I believe we are the worst team in Major League Baseball since the trade deadline.

And at the All-Star break, the Twins had the third easiest schedule remaining for the season.

I’m right there too. The stretch in the 2nd quarter of the year where they were hot was fun to watch. Nothing but frustration since.

I gave up guys. I’ll try again next year. They are not a major league ball club right now. And I feel bad for Buxton
I do too, but if you are going to tear down, you might as well get a top 5 draft pick out it. Playing ,500 or even .400 ball doesn't do anyone any good.
