Saw Shane Smith and the Saints last week in my hometown! Also, never been to the Horizon Event Center. I assume they will sell beer for the Turnpike/RRR concert?
I would doubt it. QOTSA has their own drummer.
The last few years have really soured me to Dave Grohl. After the crap he pulled at the DSM show, he was already on thin ice for me. The illegitimate child and kicking Freese out of the band solidified my view of him.
That1Guy at xBk Live last week was so funky. Anciients at Lefty's on Sunday.
Saw them at the Xcel Center in St. Paul (I refuse to call it whatever it is called now, just like Wells is still Wells and not Casey's Center) Amazing concert.
was able to see 2 nights of Jacket, then went to DC (for work) and saw Jeff Tweedy at the 9;30 Club
We went two years ago so this was our second time and its amazing, but exhausting. Have always wanted to see Red Jumpsuit Apparatus who played at 12:10 and walked out of there after Panic's set at midnight...12 straight hours of shows. Crossed Panic and Avril off my list and then to see Mumford last weekend in Omaha, between them and Panic, knocked out 2 of my top 5 must see bucket list bands in a week.
Blink was good as always. That was the 4th time I've seen them, this one was a bit lower energy than others but they are winding down 2 straight years on tour so understandable.
A couple bands that I'm not fanatic about but put on amazing shows: Offspring, Simple Plan, Yellowcard, All Time Low.
Wife is a big Maroon 5 fan so I took her to their show at Grand Casino (formerly Xcel Center) earlier this week. Not a bad show.
I think I am too much of a curmudgeon anymore though. Lady right in front of us live streamed the entire opening act and started to do the same for the headliner. She had her phone brightness on maximum so really annoying. She even had her phone's light on for a couple of numbers. I think she finally started to run out of battery charge though. When did this become acceptable?

My god I am old. I think I know maybe 3 names on that list...?
I love both bands very much. Making me consider coming up for that concert. But I am not familiar with the venue at all either.
Geese! Hell yeah! I saw them open for King Gizzard and they were great. I might just be a Saturday/Sunday goer.
