2026 concerts

Saw him in Moline in 2019. Incredibly jealous of those of you who saw him last night!
I saw Paul McCartney for the 3rd time last night. He was every bit as good as he was in 2005 and 1990. I had seats that were listed as obstructed view directly to the side of the stage. The seats were awesome and had no viewing issues. Paul and the band walked right below us to and from the stage.
Parking: we arrived downtown about 5:30 and parked on 5th St near the Hilton. Cost was $2.95 and it was easy to get out other than a little wait for pedestrians leaving the concert.

It really was, on our way back from DM tonight after dinner with friends, we were listening to the Beatles Channel on Sat radio and they were talking to a gal that went to the New Mexico show that got to go to the sound check. She wanted to hear the song, and they stated they asked Paul if he wanted to sing again with John and he jumped at the chance. Makes you wonder how many other songs they recorded that did not make the albums that are hidden away somewhere.

My wife is dragging me to the In This Moment concert at Vibrant tomorrow night. She got the tickets for free and wants to check out the venue. Hopefully we will not stay long after that lol, they most definitely do not seem like my type of band.
Went for just a little bit (it's not her type of bands either) and it is a very cool venue. A lot smaller than I pictured in my head, but definitely not a bad place to watch a show.

Saw Cage the Elephant at Vibrant last night. Was really impressed with their energy and sound, great show.
What was the sound like at Vibrant? I saw them last fall with Young The Giant at Wells Fargo and they were one of the loudest rock bands I've ever heard.

Sound was great, definitely not too loud. I think the loudest concert I’ve ever attended was AC/DC at Hilton. The cannons firing during For Those About To Rock was ear splitting.

The loudest concert I've ever been to was Aerosmtih at Hilton back in the late 90s.

Loudest I've ever heard was Iron Maiden in Omaha. Ended up moving to the very far side of the venue and the drums still felt like an extra heartbeat. It freaked me out a bit, even as a teenager.

The concert tonight at Vibrant was about right. Loud, but not overbearing.

Has anyone been to the Salt Shed in Chicago. Headed there for My Morning Jacket.

Just got tickets for Dropkick Murphy's at Val Air. That will be a good show. Not till February though
This is a good heads up. I’ve not seen them and need to. I’d love to see a show with them and flogging Molly.

I actually saw them with Flogging Molly, Great show. Dropkick always brings a great show. The best was when they followed the Iowa Wild and played on the ice after the Hockey match was over. It just made so much sense. Boston irish band playing following a hockey game. Loved that.

Anyone seen a show at that big arena in Omaha? I assume it’s like most arenas. Seeing Mumford there next weekend. Any tips on a place to grab a bite nearby before hand?
This show was terrific. Marcus sounded awesome and they really have perfected their live performances. IMG_9512.jpegIMG_7725.jpeg
