2025 Transfer Options

This guy is a proven bucket getter that knows his limitations. Doesn't shoot the 3 at a high percentage but doesn't shoot a lot of them. Gets his points by beating people off the dribble and getting to the ft line. His last year in JUCO avg 20pt/game in 18min. A crazy number
Pardon the dumb question, but would he have three to play since he played two years of juco?

Good question. Still kind of a blurry answer as that ncaa/juco decision was just made this last playing season. I would say he would have 2 for sure because he's a post covid enrollee. (Unlike Cujo who's juco years fell during covid years)

So now we are just spectators in this portal craziness. Looks like another TJ-esque class. Not necessarily flashy names but they all fit the program and we didn't lose anyone we were counting on for next season. Looking around the league, not many other teams can say that. There are still a bunch of teams with a lot of work to do.

I've seen the "Williams is hurt" thing at least a 100 times but no one actually says how.

Is it really something that jeopardizes next season?

A full MBB roster is now 15 scholarships. ISU has 12 scholarship players.

4 returners 4 transfers 4 freshmen 2 walkons

I think it's been said that Iowa St bball will not use the extra 2 scholarships because it would have an effect on scholarships in other sports. I don't know the exact details.

I believe Tucker Devries must petition the NCAA for a medical hardship. I believe his plan is to follow his dad to Indiana once the the NCAA rules on his medical redshirt. I would be willing to bet Tucker had to highball it out of West "by-God" Virginia after taking a bag and then going on "Injured Reserve" for the rest of the season.
To your point about Tucker having to “high tail it out of WV,” you’re not wrong. The general belief among people in Morgantown with dead animals on their head is that Tucker knew Dad was leaving and shut down the season so he got one more with Dad, when he could have returned to play EOY. I’m not saying it’s true; I’m saying fandom their is riding that conspiracy theory.

How the f*** is this guy still playing, and supposedly Nelson is done after this year? We recruited him out of JUCO when Prohm was here. 5 years removed from JUCO and he played a full season in 3 of those. He's started college 7 years ago and has played 5 years of college ball already. This will be his 6th.

if this JUCO rule holds he should have eligibility to play 3 more years. 4 years total of D1 basketball.

2027-28 ISU
2026-27 ISU
2025-26 ISU
2024-25 UVU
2023-24 JUCO
