By continental association:

CAF: 9 out of 10 advance
CONMEBOL: 5 out of 6 advance
UEFA: 13 out of 16 advance
CONCACAF: 3 out of 6 advance (all hosts)
AFC: 2 out of 9 advance (ouch)
OFC: 0 out of 1 advance (but respectable showing)

AFC got abused in the group stage, with 7 out of 9 teams not advancing. CAF, CONMEBOL, and UEFA combined had only 5 teams not make it out of the group stage.

Of course, they appear to be the best team too.

I’d say France has looked the best. Both have looked good, but Argentina played against weaker competition.

Now in regards to who will win it all. France does have a much tougher path to the final than Argentina.

Yeah, Argentina will have England, Brazil, or my sleeper - Japan - waiting for them in the semis... but if they don't make it there it'll be one of the biggest upsests ever.
