2025 Transfer Options

How much cap space do we need to improve?

-someone like Rohde would help a lot. He would add value at three positions. Can we get him at $500k to 750k?

-A player with the potential to be a top end scorer at the 2/3 is needed for the team to have a high ceiling. Best if the player isn’t a liability on defense. That’s $1+ million

-An athletic 3/4 garbage guy that plays defense and rebounds out of his area. I’d love for a Hogue type that can also knock down 3P. But even a Banks type at Drake would help. $250k to $500k?

-A Ward or Bob Jones type at center. $250k to $500k?

That’s around $2.5 on the higher side. Maybe the market is already past that.

Can we keep most of the core 5 for $2.5 million? We’ll need something for the freshman too

Wait, Heise has another year?

Damn, they’ve got a pretty good core coming back with Lipsey, Momcilovic, Jefferson, and Heise. That should be enough for an 8-9 seed without pulling in a high-level contributor, right?
Did mommy say he was coming back?

You are throwing out millions we don't have. $2.5 mil for the core 5? What?

We need to bring in guards with midrange game. Our offense was either driving to the basket or 3 pointer. We didn’t have anyone who could create jump shot off the dribble.
I’d say bring in a guard with Heise being our 6th man. Then find a rim protector that Tamin can drive and dish to.

Is there any word on Jackson? If he’s not back we’ll need a couple bigs

I think you get the best available. If you have to roll with freshmen at backup point it works if he’s surrounded by talent. I know we lost our true PG but I doubt he would of seen the floor over Batemon regardless of position
Ala Monte' his freshman year- surrounded by talent.

Nate Heise was 19/33 from 3 (58%) over the last 13 games of the season and in that stretch had only one game in which he didn't make at least one 3-pointer.

He could very easily average double figures next year.
Yeah, he went from looking like a nice role player to a solid starting guard candidate for next year.

Why was I under the impression that this was Heise's last year of eligibility?
He seemed to be nearly automatic from 3 at the end of the season, and I would LOVE to see him on the team for another year.
