MacIntyre would really benefit from cracking a smile. Dude's expression doesn't change when he drains a 40' putt or hits a miraculous shot out of the rough. Just doesn't seem very fun to root for

If you’re clicking around tonight you should check out the US amateur. Olympic Club is in stunning shape and there’s a lot of good stories to root for. John Daly’s kid who plays at Arkansas, some kid who plays golf at D3 Gustavus adolphus, the Russell kid who is only 16 and been playing in pga tour events, and a local kid who I guess is from Scotland but has a bunch of people from where he lives north of SF cheering him on. Quarterfinals today and all the kids can really play.

No doubt. He seems like a good guy in his interviews too, so maybe I'm being unfair with him, but a little emotion would be nice.
It comes down to if Macintyre can continue to make the insane shots he’s done the last two days. Scotty has seemed to miss a lot of putts that may start dropping this weekend.
There’s a reason Vegas has it just about even with a 5 shot lead. It’s gonna get tighter and the pressure will be on as they play in a twosome.
He had me hooked in Canada last year with his dad on the bag. He’s got that “Everyman” vibe, which is refreshing sometimes.
Kind of a theme of a couple golf channel guys, Mac could walk in the gate and not be recognized as a golfer.
And right when things are getting interesting with Macintyre, coverage shifts to NBC, which is preempted by a Packer preseason game here in Eastern Iowa.
