Huss was likely hand picked from CU big wigs, he was super popular as a player there. I grew up in the Omaha area and used to get lots of free tickets when they played at the Civic Auditorium, the biggest memory I have of Huss against an undefeated top 25 Okie St team that Eddie Sutton brought in for a reunion game to honor one of his good Creighton teams. Okie St was up late and Huss hit the only 3 of his career to kickstart a big run that would win the game for Creighton. The Civic was hornets nest.
Late 90s Iowa had a good team go there and lose too. I always liked that Jays center court.
I was there for that one as well, Jays beat them at CHA either the year before or after in a home and home, was the start of the Altman era. Saw some decent ISU teams struggle there too.

It’s West Virginia, would they have understood words anyways? I’m sure in only 1 year devries wasn’t well versed in the Appalachia language.
