NBA: *** 2025-26 NBA Thread ***

really weak sauce by the joker IMO. who ******* cares about a layup at the end of game 4. if you are going to take it that personally, then dont stop playing and expect the other team to also stop playing. its fake tough guy BS.
I’m a Nuggets fan and agree. Embarrassing. I’m disgusted by this team. Really all year, but especially the playoffs.

I’ve rooted for many teams that just suck. But I’ve never rooted for a team this mentally weak before. Everyone but Gordon (and Jokic, but I’m disappointed in him) should be on the chopping block next year. Adelman for sure should be gone

Watching Cleveland #### the game away. Harden waiting to shoot the ball with 2 seconds left in the clock turned momentum around.

This pt swing from Portland to San Antonio needs to be studied by historians

I think more than mentally weak is just the roster and limited athletic ability. Gordon and Watson are their only plus athletes and defenders and Watson hasn't even played. Braun is a passable defender but just average NBA athlete. They've got a lot of offensive skilled players but compared to rest of NBA and especially in playoffs they really lack the athletes of the competition. They really need a 3 and D SF or guard next year. I think Cam Johnson is too similar to Porter. Wolves won't part with him and definitely not to the team he's been taunting all series but they need a guy like Mcdaniels.

I refuse to believe it’s strictly an athleticism issue. This core won the title 3 years ago. I realize Gordon is hobbled, but no way our starters are that less athletic than the Wolves without Edwards and DiVincenzo. And they still punked us in the 4th quarter.

The Wolves are literally calling us out by name and we still wilt down in the 4th quarter. And Adelman just goes up after every game and makes excuses. He’s a good tactician, but he’s not the right coach for this team. We needed a TJ this year.

The Pistons are this years Rockets. Young team that actually tried hard during the regular season only to find out that it's a different game come April. This is part of the reason the product is suffering imo.
Is Cunningham fully recovered? Between less ISU guys playing and Inside the NBA being off TNT I haven't watched as much this year. What is recovery from a collapsed lung, like full send as soon as he is cleared? I would assume there is still some ramp up and that can't be helping.

I guess I'm not sure and haven't been paying as much attention either. He has been averaging 29, 7, and 6 for the series, so if I had to guess I'd say he's pretty close to 100%

24 turnovers in their last 3 games though. Could well be that he's trying to do too much because they don't have much offense that you can count on in the playoffs outside of him.

I normally rarely pay attention to regular season but playoffs get me interested, but I haven't watched any playoff basketball.

I should of said it's not strictly that just a part of the blame too. Other than Lakers I think nuggets would be least athletic team in playoffs. Both make up for it with really skilled players. I agree that they have wrong coach to try to make up for their shortcomings he's like his dad more offensive minded but not of good as coach. Even with all this said I think Nuggets have good chance to comeback and move on given start of Timberwolves. Going to come down to tomorrow's game imo

First round didn't set up well. It's actually exceeded slightly in expectations as I didn't think Pistons and Magic would be as good as it's been. Conference Semis has a chance to be really good.

The NBA is god awful to watch. And the amount of ridiculous traveling is insane. I can watch a lot of things but my god the NBA is a terrible product. And yes I have been to a live NBA game in the last year, woof it was a snooze.

Went to a DM Wild hockey game last year to, and had a blast, way more fun than an NBA game, which is pathetic. And thanks to the stupid blackout rules in the NHL and MLB I am not even an fan of those really anymore, just too hard to follow a team regularly and consistently getting to watch them. But I grew up an NBA fan, and now I cant stand it. I dont know what happened over the years but they have completely ruined it.

At least that is my opinion. I have tried to get back into watching it, but I just cant stand it.

Not a lot of it is really watchable and I steadfastly refuse to chase streaming so I’m highlights and social media only.

Non-playoff story but former Cyclone Mike Born was promoted within the Pacers to a very high level position in the front office. He has been a scout with them for years, but this would put him like 3rd in command in the front office. That puts two Iowans in the top 3 of the front office obviously with Chad Buchanan as the GM. Pretty neat and obviously with Tyrese this makes them very easy to root for.

Playoffs will be much more interesting next season when they are back. Hopefully they don't get screwed over in the lottery, and can add a nice young piece to go alongside Tyrese.

We have a fight, a ref hit the floor.

Getting bad.
