Every 5 minutes I see a new clip of Wemby just being a monster, from one game there's like a dozen highlights of him just clowning someone.
He has crashed out hard since leaving the Celtics.
Interesting swing on betting. Tim Donaghy admitted to changing outcomes and not one single other ref was implicated. Which seems a little far-fetched that not one person would be like, hey buddy that was a weird call what's going on. But they figured out the Porter kid last year was playing funny and he was a seldom used sub. I wonder if it the commissioner change or the overall legalization of gambling that forced more oversight.
The FBI said the Billups case and Rozier case were “separate but related”. Rozier’s involved sports betting while Billups’ is an illegal poker game.
The poker game, at its surface, doesn’t seem like a big deal to me, but if the mafia is involved who knows what other stuff was going on. Reminds me of the great movie Molly’s Game.
Obviously early but looking at the first gaudy stat lines maybe something to all the stories about Wemby and Doncic offseason retooling to reach a new level.
Those videos of him working out with Hakeem…I think the guy is serious about dominating. It’ll always be interesting with that frame if he stays healthy, Durant has been way more durable than id have guessed so what do I know.
