***2025-26 CFB Coaching Carousel***

Honestly, if I am ASU, full court press on making sure Dillingham is happy.

Golesh seems like another good choice for PSU, but you dont pay JF 60 mil to hire Golesh

I run into Dillingham every now and again, we don't live too far from each other and our kids go to the same school. I don't expect him to leave ASU willingly. The guy is just as much of a fan as he is the coach. Never say never, but he seems to love it, and I would be very surprised.

Every time I see him he gives me a hard time about the Big 12 championship game, all in good fun. I am usually in an ISU hat.

Omaha tv stations all in on asking Rhule if he has had interest from PSU, or has he been in contact with them.

I don't think Miss Terri is going to let Saban go back plus I'm sure ESPN is paying him very well and he's really good on GameDay.
Like Saban is ever going to go anywhere where he doesn't have a huge advantage in talent. That's why he hated Miami. Its more fun to coach when you have twice the talent as your opponent. Saban will never coach again. He's just a slightly older version of Urban Meyer.

He's at a sleeping giant. I'm not sure why anyone would ever willingly leave ASU. I don't see how there is a more appealing place for 18 year old male anywhere.

I mean it's why I visit there so often
If union wages were better in AZ and home prices wouldn't have exploded there I wouldn't have left. There's honestly times I consider going back there even to be a broke adult. My uncle and cousins are all ASU grads. Its a great place. Hell I love the entire Valley. I lived just off Warner about a mile down from the Cardinals practice facility. I know you're about my age so it won't be long before we're old enough to live in a place Sun City or one of the other retirement communities.

That is actually hilarious and awesome.

Sounds like a good guy.

He seems like the only guy they've had in my lifetime(45 years) that has the ability to take the program where it should be. John Cooper took them to the Rose Bowl in the 80s then bailed(for Ohio State) and Bruce Snyder(RIP) was a hell of a coach but was consistent. Snyder almost won the National Championship in 97 but was beaten in the Rose Bowl by Cooper and OSU. ASU just couldnt stop them on that last drive. The Ohio State team that year was one of the best teams ever that never won a national title. That was one hell of an ASU team also. Pat Tillman and Jake Plummer. They had that WR Poole and the DE Rodgers was a beast. He absolutely destroyed Nebraska and Eric Crouch when they went down their earlier in the year. They couldn't block him.

I moved down here right after college with 3 buddies from ISU. Two of us had jobs down here already, and the other two just wanted to tag along and figure out when they got here. I am the only one left in AZ, but we did have a ton of fun those first few years. We lived a block from Campus and Mill Ave (ASU's Welch) and I have never seen so much scenery. If I was an 18 year old athlete it would be hard to go elsewhere after visiting.

Saban didn't hate coaching at Miami, he has stated in the past the to win in the NFL you need a elite QB, he thought they had one signed in Drew Brees, the teams medical people would not sign off on his injured shoulder. So the team went out and got Culpepper instead, while Brees went to NO and had a HOF type of career. Saban wanted Brees, after talking to him he trusted Brees when he stated he would be fine and ready to play. That was the main reason he left, so when Alabama came calling he jumped.

Rhule’s buyout is $5 million for this year, drops a million a year, according to sources at NU.
If they offer it, it sounds like he would take it. He was asked about it during his press conference yesterday and did not say he was not interested, just the opposite. Talked about what a great place it was for him to play and how he liked the area. $5 million for Penn State is peanuts. Wonder if that happens would they go after Campbell again.
