2025-2026 MBB computer projections thread

Craft triggers a few on here (and no hatin' love you all <3) to irrational hatred on here.

I brought up he ended up going to medical school and got flamed for it.

Craft pissing us off was kind of a fluke, though. Yeah, he hit a game-winning shot against us in the NCAA tournament. The biggest of stages. But it was more or less random we bumped into him.

Phil Forte and Keiton Paige pissed me off twice per year (and probably a few extra times in the Big 12 tournament for good measure) for a total of eight seasons. ******* hate those guys.
What I didn't like about Aaron Craft was he was hailed as an otherworldly defender but he was a golden child who got away with more contact than pretty much anyone else and then would flop at the same contact on the other end of the floor.

Are we peaking too soon? I think no given the youth and first year transfers playing key roles
Too early to peak too soon! :)
However, TJ's teams have all come out of the blocks fast. I believe it's a testament to the ability he and his staff have to build a real team and team identity early, while others are struggling. The teams with high level talent seem to catch up. I'm hoping this year will be different. This team is deep, athletic, and multidimensional. Just need to avoid the injuries of last year.

This. I’m not the first to say that it’s tough for other coaches to crack the Otz code early on in seasons. The good news is that can put your resume in the driver’s seat before conference play. And you know you’ll have Q1 opportunities all season. I do think the team will slow down in February again, we’ve just seen it too many times. But if they can stay healthy it may not matter. As 1000 others here have said, the tournament is a crapshoot. Just get a decent seed and hope you're healthy

One thing that helps us this year is the outstanding play of multiple freshman. We seem a little deeper than past years. That should help extend rotations and allow us to out effort the competition more often. (I hope)

Exactly this. Hard to go through the mid season slump when 10 ish guys are getting meaningful minutes
