KCRG just randomly went into commercial mid-play for ND’s TD run. I hope McGrath paid a lot for that spot.

Well this was kind of a first.

Watching ABC coverage of Notre Dame-Texas A&M. KCRG jump cuts away from the network to run a couple of network spots, along with a quick preview of the 10:00 news. Okay, that happens, the network gives their affiliates some ad time … but when the ad break ends, I realize KCRG cut away from the actual game and missed a few plays.

Okay, we’re back in action - then a minute later a McGrath Auto ad suddenly cuts into the game and once the game comes back I realize we missed the Notre Dame TD because KCRG can’t get their sh!t together.

And of course ABC rolls right into a full ad break after the score, as they do, so KCRG is essentially showing us a stream of commercials with occasional random football action sprinkled in.
