I'm an admitted homer but Haliburton could really help these half court offense struggles.
I'm not sure anyone in the history of mankind has fallen upwards more than Steve Kerr.
I won't argue that Tyrese is the weakest defender on the roster, or maybe comparable to Steph...but it wasn't luck that he led the #1 offense in the NBA to the ECF ahead of schedule for their roster.
If they lose because of stagnant offense it was a choice to sit their best playmaker. LeBron has been a good playmaker for them up to this point masking it, but it's the one thing the roster isn't loaded with. Then in Joker you're facing an all time great offensive playmaker.
With Tyrese these shooters all get easier looks and the bigs get easy dunks, it wouldn't make sense now having relegated him to last on bench, but if he'd have worked him in the entire way it's a weapon Kerr could have had.
As bad as the offense has been, based on my right math they are on pace to give up 445 points.
Last summer Kerr still did this same platoon thing even with a less loaded team. Edwards was clearly his best player with Tyrese and Brunson the next two best and he barely even played Edwards and Tyrese together at all. Like any random fan probably would have thought Tyrese/Edwards is a great combo seeing how much better he made guys like Mathurin, Nesmith and Nembhard this season.
Croatia is very similar the talent they crank out for both soccer and basketball.

he has ridden on the backs of talent all his life. we have the worst guys attempting shots, Embid looks like a drunk 10th grader right now. Kerr won't change the line up.
but in the end we are just getting out hustled and not playing together.
Serbia looks like a well-oiled veteran Missouri Valley team playing KU in the 2nd round of the tourney.
