Sprinters are just the wide receivers of track and field. The great ones have massive egos and are easy to dislike. Doesn't mean they aren't great of course.

There's a fine line between enjoyable/entertainingly cocky (Lyles) and not (Ingebristenon). Lyles seems to have a good time and has a positive energy. Someone like Ingebristen just seems to hate everyone else around them and just wants to make people miserable.
