To be so fast that I can run in the 100M semis and look over on the approach of the finish line just to make sure I'm doing enough to move on.

It was mostly my mom who didn't get it. This is how the conversation went:

"Why doesn't Giannis play for the USA?"

"Because he's Greek."

"But he plays for the Bucks"

"Yeah, but he's a Greek citizen"

"So, LeBron plays for the USA."

"Yeah, because he's American."
To be fair, it is a somewhat strange concept to Americans. Off the top of my head, outside of soccer, you don't really see American athletes leave for another county, make it big, then play for the U.S. in the Olympics.

We don't have anyone working and living year round in France, Serbia, Russia or wherever, then playing on our national teams.

I don't think there is anything wrong with an American wanting a guy like Giannis, or Jokic to play for the U.S. I also don't think there is anything wrong with those guys wanting to play for the countries they grew up in, and return to frequently.

Djokovic hit critical first serves when it mattered. That was the match. Carlos played like C+ match and that’s what it will take to beat him. If he’s at a B level or above nobody beats him.
That was the best I've seen Djokovic play this year. His movement was way better than at Wimbledon. I thought Alcaraz played well, just didn't have that extra gear he usually can find. Djokovic was just super sharp all around. I'm a huge Alcaraz fan, but didn't mind seeing Djokovic finally get his gold.

Disagree that Carlos played well. That was a C+ level from him. Almost the same number of unforced errors as winners. And he was missing shots that he quite frankly hasn’t missed in months.

Djokovic played well, but in the end, it was a handful of well-timed first serves (particularly the first set) that gave Novak the win.

Not exactly sure.
I didn’t think the Canadian looked like a hammer thrower but on his first throw he destroys the rest of the competition.
