Halliburton was always going to be the last guy off the bench on this team. If the U.S. is struggling shooting, then he’s a valuable piece off the bench for a few minutes. And he’s a great teammate. But he’s a defensive liability and Curry, Jrue, Derrick White, even LeBron can probably operate this offense better than Hali at the point.

Now Embiid. That guy can gtfo. No idea why he’s getting minutes (granted we’ll probably need him if we play France due to their length)

Still blows my mind that this is apparently Curry's first - and likely last - Olympics.

My head explodes a bit listening to Wade call other basketball and soccer players floppers. Guy sold fouls, worked refs and was given more questionable free throws than any player I’ve ever seen, he shattered ft records with it.
Refs handed the 2006 NBA finals to him and the Heat over the Mavericks. He shot 21 FTs in game six and 97 in the series

Nope. If you're pivoting on 1 foot. You can pick it up and dangle around on the other for as long as you want. The second your pivot goes down its a travel. There's a reason so many think euro steps are travels when they aren't and what you just said is that reason
Absolutely agree and like the way you explained this.
For some reason it is commonly believed that the rules are different for layups or euro-steps. I've seen a lot the other way, where a player will pick the ball up early, with at least one foot still down, and then take 2 running steps and claim that it's OK because 'euro-step isn't a travel'. It's not, but only if done correctly.
Sorry for the rant, personal pet peeve as a coach. Too many middleschoolers and their coaches thinking they're Manu Ginobili.

I have to wonder what utter hell the female athletes have been through from North Korea.

North Koreans have been indoctrinated since birth that the Kim Jongs are Gods. With very little Western outside influence to show otherwise. They don’t know any different.
This. Which is why I wondered what rules they have to even be out of the country. You can’t get in or out. It’s like a horror movie.

I lol'd...

That guy is a clown. Serbia has one legit player in Jokic and one average at best in Bogdanovic and he expects them to somehow be able to match up defensively with the US team full of hall of famers for 40 mins without making dumb decisions.

He can probably even make a similar video with US players making defensive lapses.

Hence why I was laughing.

This popped into my Facebook feed. You'll maybe recognize the song and not know why. It's a young French gals take on La vie en rose a song made popular around the world by French singer Édith Piaf in 1946 through the 1950's. Bing Crosby even recorded an English version as did many other American singers. Anyway, given all the comments on France and Paris because of the Olympics I thought I'd post it here because it's a pretty awesome cover.

Not a clue what she is saying, but it sounds great and pretty sexy to me.
