***2024 Olympics Thread***

Lebron is absolutely a PROBLEM driving down the lane.
Do it over and over and over

It's been his entire career, just a handful of massive series/years where he didn't force it enough or teams could collapse around him because of lack of teammates, but it's always been there.

People are not making a big enough deal about how fit he still is at almost 40, it's insane. Bird was 35 on the dream team and looked ancient. Magic was 31 in his last NBA finals and was nowhere near as athletic as 39yo LBJ.

That french guy is gonna live the rest of his life in that moment of an and1 dunk on LBJ.

Credit where it's due: I haven't watched much of them but Lebron has dug in for these games.

He's MVP of tournament if you watch on both ends so far. Not that the Olympics is about MVP.

He basically face guarded Joker in the final 1/3 of the game and the game turned at that moment.

He knows when his team needs scoring, defense, passing.

France got a few friendly whistles and that one guy is playing out of his mind. LeBron is still a beast for being almost 40

NBA might be lucky they don't have these goal tend rules with Wemby, could be a bit of a game breaking rule.

Yeah I looked up Yabusele and ISU has had about 10 recent players who got more run at an NBA career...playing out of his mind now though.

Watching women’s golf and still think that the women would be pretty competitive with the guys when adjusting with tee boxes, provided that the rough is kept pretty forgiving.
Random Iowa tie in Olympic women's golf: much of the commentary has been done by LPGA golfer Mel Reid, who golfed for Britain in Tokyo but didn't qualify this year (and IMHO is doing a great job as a tv analyst).

Reid's wife is former Drake wbb player Carly (Grenfell) Reid. They met while Carly was working for the LPGA social media department.

I think LeBron is probably setting an Olympic record for fullest grayest beard on a dominant Olympian. It's natural too, not brushed in hair color PEDs.
