I think USA Track & Field needs to rethink how they pick the 4x100 runners. Just like the USA men's basketball no longer picks the 12 best but selects for the best team; USA Track & Field needs to select for the best relay team and not the four or five fastest runners. USA has botched hand offs in the last 4 or 5 Olympics. USA Track & Field needs to select sprinters that are willing to work on baton exchanges and commit to being together for 12 to 18 months. Even if you have the 4 fastest 100m sprinters if they aren't familiar with and practice handoffs with the other 4x100 members, you wont have a good 4x100m relay.

meanwhile, watching weightlifting because that's what my wife had on for whatever reason (probably because cycling was on and it was never changed). While everyone is straight intensity, Olivia Reeves is sunshine and rainbows, and gigantic smiles every time she puts the weight into the air. It's quite fun, actually.

Men's 400 hurdles at 2:45 (CT) should be a doozy.

Warholm and Benjamin next to each other on the outside (lanes 7 and 8), and Dos Santos on the inside (lane 3).

Break dancing in the Olympics is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Flag football being introduced in 2028 will probably surpass it.

I won't question their athleticism or effort but I feel like I'm watching something on MTV 20-30 years ago.

I haven't seen many of the races live so that was cool.

Couldn't agree more.
Ames sprinters back in the day had the best sprint coach in high school. Legendary coach Cecil Spatcher. 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s. We practiced and practiced. Became like taking a breath, didn't have to think about it. Won us many a relay with 4 runners slower than the 2nd or 3rd place teams.

I thought that Kloth and Nuss got a tough draw by getting the Canadians in the Round of 16. Canada holding their own in the first set of the gold medal match strengthens that idea.

Btw I might be in love with Brandie Wilkerson

Maybe a group of high school freshmen should teach these boys how to do hand offs. Carl Lewis is steaming hot. His comments will get somebody in hot water.
He’s 100% right, and I’m glad he’s speaking up. There is absolutely no reason for the US to look like this, let alone for so long. Deepest country in the world, and can’t get out of their own way.

Track and field commentary is pretty top notch
I've always thought the guy that does swimming events was incredible. No idea who it is, and I only hear him every 4 years. But when I turn on a race and that guy is doing his thing.....phenomenal.
