***2024 Olympics Thread***

Knock on wood but Brazil mbb really doesn't look as dangerous as some of their previous teams.

Amit Elor with a gold for USA in wrestling (WFS 68kg).

Sarah Hildebrand is in the finals at 50kg tomorrow.

Elor wasn't even challenged until today. Kind of an under the radar athlete who should have been a bigger media sensation I think.

That Men's 1500 WOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW

New record and gold for the way underdog American Hocker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelievable! I am of an age where it was rare to see any US athletes in track distance finals in the Olympics let alone 3. Hocker's final push, he just wasn't going to be denied. Nuguse with an incredible close as well. Another meter and he would have had silver. Stunned.

Anybody else watching Men's Team Handball between France and Germany at this early hour? Germany ties it up to send it to extra time on a last-second France turnover and goal for Germany. Team Handball is pretty damn fun to watch.

Ugh, looks like US mens volleyball may blow the game lead they had to Poland.
