NBA: *** 2024 NBA thread ***

rewatching the end of regulation...the craziest part might have been down 8 points with 35 seconds left.

That might be the craziest of all these MANY comebacks.

Another crazy part is all the almost turnovers the Knicks had and the Pacers still came back even without getting those.

ESPN’s NBA coverage is their absolute worst. And that’s saying something considering their crappy quality covering other sports (except hockey, they got good hockey guys).
I freaking HATE that NBA on TNT/Inside the NBA is going away. That is hands down the best post-game show in basketball and nothing else even comes close.

It’s a good thing I am a cyclone fan and my heart is conditioned for this. A lesser man would struggle to go to sleep after watching that.
i was wrong. i am still jacked. what a game. what a playoff run. insanity. the probability of one unlikely comeback is one thing but the sequence of low probability comebacks is so unique. we are living in the good times.

Guys, who does Jalen Brunsun remind you of? He such a great player. I can't think of another NBA or former player quite like him. He's guy you want on your team.
Maybe Bradley Beal.
I looked Beal up; he's a pretty high scorer, like Brunsun is becoming, but he is also 6'4", two inches taller.

How about a higher scoring Tony Parker?

Brunsun is just having a really great year.

His game reminds me of Curtis Stinson’s actually. Except for his theatrics to get to the FT line

Marcus Smart with all the flopping he does.
And SGA can join Brunson and Luka in that discussion. It's a shame really. They are very talented players. There's no need to try to get bailed out by a whistle all the time. It makes it harder to support those types of players and it makes for a bad product on TV

I agree on Brunson and Luka, can’t say I have the same view of SGA but honestly haven’t watched him as much so may be missing it. It annoys me when they whine about things and then go to the other end and our fouling just as hard or harder. Brunson is the worse in my opinion. He hooks, he flops, he’s got a whiny face. Might be the most annoying player to watch.

On another note though, they’re playing the game and using rules to their advantage. It seems slimy but at the same time one could argue it’s smart.

SGA flopping in Game 1 on Tuesday night was pretty bad. But players will continue to do it until the officials stop calling it

I just heard Nesmith is the only player to hit 6 threes in a fourth quarter of a playoff game.

Given it was 6/6 in ECF it’s quite possibly the greatest shooting performance ever.
