Utah seems totally defanged. I know early predictions for their success included Rising, but their problems go well beyond the qb position. I think the pundits whiffed on that one.

He's definitely right on point 1. I haven't watched my DVR of the game yet but I don't doubt that Texas got all the calls in their own house, we've seen that for literally decades and a conference change likely didn't change that.

The talk about the PAC being so great last year always seemed overstated to me.

Oregon, Washington? Sure.

But the rest were kind of propped up by some early season wins against teams that ended up sucking (like TCU that no one realized at the time was a huge dropoff)
