I think Williams averages 25 minutes all at the point. AJ would like man the point the rest. Holmes is far more consistent as a scorer than Gabe and Williams.
25-30 imo, which would likely put him 2nd in minutes behind Green. Holmes and Gabe 20-25 minutes/game, cannibalize each other some.

Its a good question though on the offensive side, who do we have that opens the lanes up with either three point shooting ability or the ability to break people down and get into the lane? Its not a speed thing for breaking people down (Niang) is Tre King that? Is one of the new guards including freshmen capable of being a consistent upper 30's shooter that teams have to plan for?

I know people have speculated, but was the idea that Biliew could/would reclassify as realistic possibility? Think the situation would be perfect with him returning to the Des Moines Area from Link Academy and currently without a high school, unless he goes back to Waukee? Probably no chance but would be excited if it happened.

Not anymore it seems. Not sure him reclassifying would even really help us right now anyhow

Agree. If Bilew is going to come to Iowa St, I'd much rather it be 2023. Front court should not be an issue next year. And I don't see Bilew as an alpha scoring type, at least not as a Fr in college.

I believe you are right, but it looks like we are missing that alpha or #1 guy on the offensive side.
Obviously, it's be great to add that alpha to our current roster, but, I'd rather have balanced scoring from 5 positions, like we should this season, than have an alpha and get virtually nothing from the 4 and 5. I think our offensive floor will be higher this season, because teams can't just take away 1 guy and throw us totally off our game.

Can't we have both, an alpha and have alternative scoring treats from other places including the 4 and 5 spots?

That's exactly what I wrote...

Osun is going to be a significant scoring threat from the 5 spot, and hopefully Tre King can be a threat from the 4.

The crazy thing about last year is the completely unexpected alpha role from Brockington. There's not really any difference in Holmes' season last year vs Brockington's last at Penn State, from a scoring or FG% perspective. Not saying Holmes will take the Brockington role - just that it could be anyone, it wasn't predictable last year what IzB would do
