The lineup will be-

Williams
Green
Gabe
Kunc(maybe King in conference play or shortly after)
Osun.

Ward primary backup at the 5, will likely see some spot minutes at the 4, especially before King is eligible.

Now if daddy and the NBA want to see Green at PG, maybe add Holmes instead, but either way I’m sure he will handle the ball similar to Brockington at times last year, or Kane/Niang with Morris and the list goes on and on.

I’m just excited to see how the freshman fit in. Definitely a deeper and more versatile team. Definitely more and better options at the 4/5 this year.

The 4 spot will be interesting until King is eligible. Jazz can give you big minutes but someone else is going to have to play. Ward can likely handle it defensively but that lineup is going to struggle on offense. It can probably get by for most of the non con but there are 4 or 5 teams that would take advantage for sure. The other option would be some kind of small ball.

TJ said in an interview that Ward will play some 4 for us. I could also see Demarion Watson getting some minutes during non conference.

Ward and Osunniyi on the court together shouldn’t even be an option unless one of them has a hidden three point shot.

Agree. I think Osun plays 25-28ish minutes as the centerpiece 5 and Ward backs him up at 12-15 a game.

Jaz at the 4 really compliments those two nicely. Jaz is a good outside shooter (39% on 95 attempts last year), smart passer with a low turnover %, good rebounder despite his slender frame, and is a really good team defender. Jaz seems to really understand our concepts well - not an accident he's always in the right spot to slide over and take a charge on drivers.

I think we also go small ball some around Osun or Ward when TJ feels it's the right move. And of course when Tre King is eligible he'll hopefully be able to step in off the bench and provide some rebounding and scoring inside and out.

I can't see a transfer who has been ranked as a top 40 transfer in Holmes, not starting.
The more I think about it, the more I agree. Unless Williams is better than Holmes (if the rankings are way wrong) - I think Green comes in and plays the point (Green, Gabe and Holmes start) - and Williams comes in as a backup PG and backcourt "stopper".

Maybe Gabe moves to the bench, if they think Green can't play point, but I doubt it at this point.

Holmes, Green, Gabe, Williams - I think Otz proved last year he will play who he believes fits situationally and who deserves the most time. With how sparingly he played Enaruna last year, I don't think he is worried about hurting feelings - he will play whoever gives us the best chance to win.

With 4 guys likely playing near or over 30 minutes a game. Williams is going to get the bulk of the PG time. Who doesn't start is anyone's guess but in the end really doesn't matter.

I agree TJ will play his best 5. Green, Holmes, Kalscheur and Williams all have enough length and athleticism to play at the same time against most teams.

But the difference is King, Osunniyi and Ward are all a step up from Enaruna and Conditt for what they will be asked to do.

Ok. Rankings I've seen have him closer to 100. Some even have Williams ahead of Holmes.
With that said, transfer rankings are pretty difficult, and arbitrary.
Yeah I think Goodman's ranking has him at around 100 and Osun is in the 20's. I haven't seen Williams on any of them but also there are a ton and I have only seen a few.

Yet Enaruna started for a majority of the season.

Green and Williams will play the most minutes of the guards imo. Perhaps we see a starter like Enaruna that fades in terms of PT

Gabe and Williams shooting deficiencies will likely minimize them playing together. I think they'll likely combine to play around 50 minutes a game.
Potentially Holmes too.
Shouldn’t be too different than Gabe with Hunter imo.

I see it as Holmes vs Gabe on the “starting” next to Williams and Green. Not many successful 3 guard lineups without a pg and that are questionable in 3P shooting. Having our one elite shooter play pg just to add what is likely a poor shooting guard with inferior pg skills isn’t optimal.

I think Williams averages 25 minutes all at the point. AJ would likely man the point the rest. Holmes is far more consistent as a scorer than Gabe and Williams.
