NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

I happened to be off that game when that happened.

Why were they lateraling around in a tie game?

I'm not saying that he hasn't played well, but in a matchup with Dallas, the QB position is still seen as significantly stronger for the Cowboys at this point.
Maybe because I do my best to block out Cowboys talk, but it’s snuck up on me that Dak is in his 7th year as a starter, most of which with Great rosters around him, and he is 1-3 in the playoffs.

Kirk Cousins is in his 8th, 8.5th year as a starter and is 1-3 in the playoffs. His 2020 Vikes roster was good, it was decent last year, but his Wash rosters were pretty bad.

This is one of the few years they’ve had a defense worth a damn since he’s been there. Not 100% sold on their defense being championship worthy this year, especially after today, but they’re pretty good.

I THINK Stevenson didn't make an awful play, but then Meyers wasn't thinking about the situation

I disagree. I don't think ANY of them were thinking about the situation. The Patriots were all playing like they were down and NEEDED the TD. This thing was tied and OT was ensured. Because of this stupidity they blew OT and the game because the Raiders scored on it instead. They may very well have cost themselves a shot at the playoffs because of their brainless few seconds.

I don't know who is going to come out of the AFC to go to the Super Bowl but my goodness that conference and slate of playoff teams is stacked. Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert...all of them leaders of teams playing very well. Throw in Tua and Jackson who could definitely play spoiler. Yeesh.

Chargers are getting healthy. Haven't been all season.

Yup I wouldn't want to see them as a Chiefs fan until as late as possible. At this point, it LOOKS like Chargers will likely be in the 5 or 6 spot. Chiefs most likely 1/2 seed.

As of right this second, the AFC playoffs would be:

7 Miami at 2 KC
6 Chargers at 3 Cincy
5 Ravens at 4 Titans

That 6/3 matchup would be a doozy.

Bills go to Cincy in a couple of weeks. That could be for all the marbles for the 1 seed.

The NFC isn't anywhere near as stacked, but they have probably the two best teams in Philly and SF... and a Detroit team that not many teams want to face right now if they qualify for the playoffs. The irony is perhaps the one team that won't be afraid of them - SF - would likely be their first round opponent.

Cowboys defenses since Dak’s been the starter have given up fewer ppg than the Vikings Defenses on average since Cousins has been in Minn. The defenses were typically worse during his time in Wash. Vikings OL has been hot garbage until this year as well.
