NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

Maybe I'm just getting old, but if I had tickets to a game that it was going to have a -5° wind-chill, I think I'd sell those tickets.

BIlls fans are a different deal.

'How'd you hurt your shoulder Gary?'

'Jumping off of a camper onto a folding table'.

'Oh, well, next time roll the shoulder in a bit to help the angle'.

Where did the term "40-burger" come from?

It's pretty commonly used and accepted, but why the hell did that every become a term? And it's not even like "Eat a 40-burger" or "Cook a 40-burger."

It's usually "drop a 40-burger."

I don't need my sports idioms to necessarily make sense, but this one really doesn't make sense.

I have never heard of this phrase until right now.

Never? I've heard it lots of times. The announcer just said it after Buffalo scored their last TD. I feel like it might have been a SportCenter original, from back when it was a bigger part of the zeitgeist.

I guess I probably haven't seen Sportscenter in 15 years, so that may be why.
