And Judge finally ties Maris' 61 homer record. Good for him.

He's been stuck on 60 for a week. Yanks clinched last night so Boone made Judge's buddy Rizzo acting manager tonight and Judge finally gets off the dime. Coincidence? I don't think so. ;)

It's going to be really interesting to see what mega number it's going to take for the Yankee$ to re-sign Judge.

Thinking Judge is going to end the season stuck on 61. I watched a couple of at bats and than went biking. One hit by pitch on a 3-0 count and than a walk on five pitches.

Judge will get 62, but I think Arraez takes the batting title and foils the triple crown.

The batting title shouldn't count unless the batter's average is .330 or higher. Pathetic that BAs have becomes so low. OK, you can get off my lawn now.

Wow, didn't think the Braves would be able to come back and catch the Mets this season but looks like now they are going to win the Division.

Phillies clinch the last NL Wild Card spot. Eliminates the Brewers.

I can't believe he's been pitched to as much as he has, the rest of the team is bad and didn't hit at all for like 6 weeks.

No one wants to be Steve trachsel (guy who gave up Mcgwires record breaker). I'd be bouncing stuff over to home plate if the manager won't let me intentionally walk him.

I don't understand this thought. Either you strike out a guy who is killing it this year or your name becomes synonymous with a broken record. I don't see the down side. It's not like the team is going to cut you because you gave up a HR to him.

The downside is that your ERA is going up. However, I agree in the main with your point. Pitch to the guy.

Red Sox did pitch to him, I give them credit as a historic rival. Orioles did not. Rangers appear to be. One thing Maris had was Mantle battling behind him most of the season, .316, 54 HR, 126 RBI. I think no one else hitting for **** right now, all of the balls trying to get him to chase and the pressure might win out and he stays stuck on 61.
