Manning(OC) and Meyer (OL) were asked to leave. Shouldn't surprise as ISU's offense was horrible last year.

Play calling was predictable and OL has been lackluster for years.
OL seemed to be the biggest issue and still with a good field goal kicker they would have made a bowl game in a rebuilding year.

Could someone provide a snyopsis of Manning leaving? Was he urged to leave? Did Cincinnati offer more money?

OL coaching change and special teams were obvious but I'm a bit surprised to see Manning go.

Not to be an a$$ but there are 50 threads and about 20,000 posts about Manning over the past several months (not counting last year), mostly negative.

I spend very little time reading the internet. Didn't realize he had left until recently. The great thing about sports is the games get played and we find out which decisions were good and which were poor.

3rd S&C coach in last 6 year?? That position is the foundation of EVERYTHING related to a program. Hard to find consistency when it's a new system every couple years. Find someone that has the mentality that it sincerely means something to them to represent ISU and build something special here. Why was the Head position never posted on national level to get broader candidate pool! A lot of former players that have 15-20+ years of experience in Power 5 S&C - NO CONSIDERATION?? Coaches that are not just looking for a stepping stone - but that bleed cardinal & gold.

Who would you rather we hire for an SC coach? Seems like you have someone specific in mind...

Well, let's just take a knee and shut it down.

Looks like a few former Cyclones have joined the staff. Sheldon Croney Jr is GA/Offense, and Rory Walling is Quality Control/Special Teams.

Other former Cyclones returning to the coaching staff: Deon Broomfield (Safeties/Defense Passing Game Coordinator), Kyle Kempt (QC/Offense), Sam Seonbuchner (GA/Offense), and Trever Ryen (Assistant S&C)
