***2022-23 CFB Bowl Games Thread***

Imagine if we would have had an even remotely competent offense this year. Imagine last year if we would have had an offensive CO who could have used Purdy and Hall to the best of their abilities.

I’ve had so many people tell me this year they can’t believe e how good Purdy is. I always say, I knew it, but Manning found a way to hold him back.

I never liked Manning, but I lost any respect that I did have for him in the Big 12 Championship game when, in our final drive of the game down one score, Purdy, with 30 yards of open field in front of him, instead of tucking and running decided to throw to a double-covered Kolar downfield. In Purdy's freshman and sophomore years he would have easily taken that gift. He had to be BRAINWASHED to turn down the easy 30 yards, if not a whole lot more, to instead throw a pass that had almost no chance of being completed. Manning's idiocy at work.

It is obvious they wanted Purdy to be a pocket passer but our O line always sucked. So your options were take a sack or throw into coverage. I am so happy for Purdy that he still got his shot in the NFL and is killing it because ISU did him no favors his Junior and Senior seasons.

Yeah, TCU showed it was strong enough to evenly push and hit with Michigan. The funny thing is, when talking about how a team needs to play "physical," are we forgetting that speed is a part of playing "physical," too? TCU's breakaway speed combined with forceful contact against Michigan allowed them to play MORE "physically" than if they only were strong in one of those areas.

Do we benefit financially from TCU making the CFP and championship game?

What a perfect time for the Big12 to get a team into the playoffs and to win a game. With OUT leaving you know the talking heads were salivating at bringing down the Big12 because we wouldn't be able to compete with the big programs in the Big 10 and SEC. Will be cheering hard for TCU. Hope they can at least have an entertaining game

Chris Fowler said last night that TCU making the Championship had the feeling a mid-major like Gonzaga making the Finals in the NCAA Tournament.

That being said, Go Frogs! The importance of Big Xii Teams (not named OUT) doing good things cannot be underscored during these transitional times. :)

The Big Xii being strong and respected helps Iowa State in fat and lean years.

Let's Go State AND Big Xii!

I just heard KCCI talking about the Iowa win, saying that Iowa's offense was on fire scoring 21 pts.

If that means Iowa keeps BF and his 130th ranked (out of 131 FBS teams) offense, KCCI can keep the praise coming!

That's **** from Fowler. TCU went undefeated in the second best (I believe that's what the computers said) and barely lost in the conference championship game. Totally looked like they belonged against a supposedly vaunted Michigan Defense.

Oh no, how will the B12 ever be able to hold their own in the CFP without OUs 4 appearances and zero wins plus *checks notes, UTs zero appearances period. Zero total playoff wins in the history of the format is big shoes to fill.
